The basics

Claude Cowork — Your AI work partner in a browser tab. Workspace — Your personal area where everything you build with Claude lives. Prompt — The instruction or question you give Claude.

Skills

Skill — A saved set of instructions that gives Claude a specific capability you can reuse. System Prompt — The background instructions a skill uses to set behavior. Skill Library — Where all your saved skills are stored.

Connectors

Connector — A link between Claude and one of your existing tools. Permission Scope — What a connector is authorized to read or do. Multi-tool Query — A single request that pulls from more than one connected app.

Scheduled tasks

Scheduled Task — A prompt that Claude runs automatically on a set schedule. Trigger — The time or event that starts a scheduled task. Recurrence — How often a task runs. Output Format — Instructions for how Claude presents the result.
